Victorian gun case 1893, gun manufactured by John Dickinson of Edinburgh, rebuilt by Derek Miller of Oxford. Shotgun re-built with extended stock for the Grandson of the original owner in 2006. Original damaged and torn canvas type outer cover replaced, together with repairs to all leather work including "scarfed in original handle" and re-sewn leather hinge. Case re-built internally to fit revised stock, re-lined with felt to match the original. |
